We said goodbye on Sunday. The Pathfinder is gone. It was loyal and reliable to the very end.

Do not grieve. It had a full, adventurous life, and was very much loved.

1990 - 2011.

A 2005 Honda Pilot EX because, as blakes_7 says, we're lesbians.

Indeed we did! We traded it in on a lovely 2005 Honda Pilot EX, which led to much good-natured ribbing about our POS. Strangely, we actually got money for it instead of having to pay extra for them to junk it. And by "money" I mean "$100", so I guess we can afford to go out to dinner now - once. So I guess we'll be seeing you in six weeks when Matthew's done with his total school overload.

Oh, and by "lovely" I mean "absolutely boring and invisible." But then, that was intentional.

Hey! When you texted me at 10 Sunday night you were just getting home and said you'd had no luck. LIARMOUTH.

That was Saturday night. Then we sat down, did some more research, checked what else was available, thought about it, and decided that we'd gotten lucky after all.

And what did the lesbians get to replace their beloved Pathfinder?

Since Matthew is already hopelessly behind on his school work, you unfortunately get a reply sans the funny. The lesbians are now proud owners of a 2005 Honda Pilot EX.

We haven't taken any, but here's a picture from the dealer.

All that you need to know is that the back seats have their own AC control knobs.

And how many miles???

The Pathfinder was closing in on 300,000 miles, just about ready to roll over again. Part of me wishes we'd rolled it over first, but there were practical issues to consider, like Matthew needing a more reliable vehicle for his commute, and us needing to get it smogged and registered in another month or so. The Pilot has a little over 114,000 miles - practically new! *chuckle*

Amen to that. I'll especially miss the burnt carpet from when the lighter socket extension cable caught fire on the way into work circa 1995.
