Sick II

I'm sick again, because all of January wasn't enough.

As a result my body is confused, and when faced with a menu of options, it tends to sample everything at once. Its current favorite is the "hungry and nauseated / shivering and sweating" combo.

I didn't get sick this often when I smoked.

Tea and lemon, tea and lemon.

Earthquake

I'm looking at the anecdotal earthquake statistics, just like I always do, and the same thing is happening again.

The closer to the epicenter, the higher the reported intensity. Makes sense. Sometimes, like during the Loma Prieta quake in '89, the intensity is just as strong even dozens of miles away, because of reflected seismic waves (a term I just had to look up, because I'd forgotten why.)

But then there's always some yahoo 30 miles away who loses his shit completely, shrieks that his house nearly collapsed, and skews his area's statistics all to hell. Unless he lived in a mud hut, all of his survey responses are verifiably untrue. I'm calling it the I Am A Giant Pussy Effect. It makes me wonder what he's comparing the earthquake to, if anything. Dude, when did you move here?
